Facts and Figures: Success Stories in Practice

• More than 60 trillion cubic feet (TCF) of gas resources: By 2019, Area 1, Rovuma Basin, offshore Cabo Delgado, was publicly described as containing more than 60 TCF of gas resources. Anadarko Petroleum announced three natural-gas discoveries in Area 1 in 2010, followed by appraisal. KINPRO conducted comprehensive space-based geophysical sensing (gravimetric and magnetic surveys) and subsequent data processing integrating available a priori geological and geophysical information. KINPRO’s work was carried out as part of a consortium of exploration companies.
• 400 million barrels: The estimated volume of gas condensate resources localized by a consortium of geophysical companies during the exploration assessment phase in the upper reaches of the Amazon Basin (Peru). This was preceded by space-based geophysical sensing conducted by KINPRO® for PetroPeru, initiated by the President of Peru, Alan García Pérez, in 2008.
• 90–95%: The historical proportion of selected X-Vision targets subsequently confirmed by follow-up exploration under KINPRO’s internal validation criteria.
• Area Awarded: KINPRO contributed to Delonex Energy’s bid that resulted in the award of onshore Palmeira Area P5-A in Mozambique’s Fifth Public Concession Round. INP records Area P5-A as awarded to Delonex under the petroleum licensing framework then governed by Law No. 21/2014 of 18 August (Petroleum Law, then in force). KINPRO® provided geophysical consulting services to Delonex Energy during preparation for the fifth licensing round from 2014 through 2015.
